Socio-Economic Study of Nomadic Tribes and Vimukta Tribes

A Committee appointed by Government of Maharashtra (Department of Social Welfare) awarded a Socio-Economic Study of Nomadic Tribes and Vimukta Tribes of State of Maharashtra which involved Socio-economic survey of 3,829 families belonging to 10 Vimukta tribes (families numbering 1,374) and 26 nomadic tribes (families numbering 2,455) spread over 22 districts of the State. The findings of the study are published by the Government of Maharashtra as a separate volume along with the report of the Committee.
