Street Food Vending in Pune

This project was financed by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canada. An in-depth study and analysis of the various aspects of one of the main constituents of the group of “Informal” economic activities in the city of Pune, the Street Food Vending, was undertaken in this project. The Centre, as a sequel of this research, further conducted dissemination seminars pertaining to various issues such as personal and public hygiene, cleanliness, prevention of food adulteration and quality consciousness, for the select groups of sample vendors. The findings of the study are published by the Centre.
